Standard of Living

Did anyone have additional thoughts about the journalistic doc we watched on Sat. and our conversation with Clay? What did you think about the interviews he got? If you have questions about the film or for Clay in general, post them here and we'll see if he'll respond.

Week 5 Readings

Hello all--

It's me, Kate the TA, once again getting the posting started for the Week Five readings. Thank you for your participation last week here on the blog and in class on Saturday. It's hard to believe that we are past the halfway point of the class already!

As I challenged you last week, I'd like to see 10 individual people post on here. Again, the people who are assigned this week's readings should definitely post their thoughts and reactions. I know the rest of you have opinions, so get them up here for all to see!

Joy is away on vacation for most of the week, so if you have any questions, please email them to me and I will answer them to the best of my ability or pass them along.

Discuss Week Four readings

Hello, all--this is Kate, the TA. As you know, Joy will not be teaching class this week, and I will be facilitating in her absence. As such, we have a busy schedule on Saturday and may not have time to discuss this week's readings, so I would like to get a discussion going on here about them. Please view this not as an essay assignment, but a conversation amongst you as class members.

Having said that, I would like the people who were assigned the readings for this week to kick off the discussion. There are four readings, so four of you minimally should post. However, let's aim to have 10 people contribute to the conversation.
